NSPCC Soul Weekender

The National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children is a charity campaigning and working in child protection in the United Kingdom and the Channel Islands. Founded in 1884 by Benjamin Waugh  is the UK’s leading children’s charity, preventing abuse and helping those affected to recover.

The Soul music army of Disc Jockeys Radio Presenters and Sound Systems have pulled together to help the NSPCC to continue its good works by holding a weekender function in Weymouth to raise funds and have a great time in the bargain. Andy Fields a fellow supporter is credited with the idea although if asked he will deny.

A new venue added to the pleasure calendar is always nice to hear about especially if its close to you. Disc Jockeys and Sound systems are also glad to be a part of the action especially when you can cement your place in the minds of the adoring crowds and happy promoters. The Original date was May 2020 in a few days from this article but alas the gig has fallen like so many others to Covid 19. Through discussion with the stakeholders a new date has been set in the hope that everything will be back to normal. The NSPCC will have to hold out on much needed funds until then but buy showing your support you could book your tickets now if you are able to pay now.

The NSPCC has a subsidiary banner called Childline which is a name much known by all. Childline is the the point of contact for young people to make contact in the time of need of guidance and help at any time by every contact possible. In times like these our young people need to have Childline ready to serve at any time day or night.
